Baccarat Principles

Baccarat banque is bet on with eight decks in a dealing shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are valued at face value and with 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is one. Wagers are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not really people; they just represent the 2 hands that are dealt).

Two cards are given to both the ‘bank’ and ‘gambler’. The total for each hand is the sum total of the 2 cards, but the beginning digit is ignored. For example, a hand of five and 6 has a score of one (five plus 6 equals eleven; dump the 1st ‘one’).

A third card may be given depending on the following rules:

- If the gambler or banker has a value of eight or 9, the two players stay.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, she hits. Players otherwise stand.

- If the player stays, the house takes a card on a total lower than 5. If the gambler hits, a chart is used to determine if the house stays or takes a card.

Baccarat Banque Odds

The bigger of the two totals wins. Winning wagers on the house pay out 19:20 (equal cash minus a 5 percent rake. The Rake is recorded and cleared out once you quit the game so make sure you still have money remaining before you head out). Winning bets on the player pays one to one. Winning wagers for tie typically pays out at 8:1 but occasionally 9:1. (This is a bad wager as ties happen lower than one in every 10 hands. Be wary of betting on a tie. However odds are substantially better for 9:1 versus eight to one)

Wagered on properly punto banco gives fairly good odds, apart from the tie wager of course.

Punto Banco Method

As with all games baccarat banque has some familiar misunderstandings. One of which is close to a false impression in roulette. The past isn’t an indicator of future outcomes. Tracking previous outcomes on a page of paper is a bad use of paper and a snub to the tree that surrendered its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and possibly the most accomplished method is the one-three-two-six tactic. This tactic is employed to maximize earnings and limit losses.

Begin by betting 1 chip. If you win, add another to the two on the table for a sum total of 3 units on the second bet. Should you win you will now have 6 on the game table, take away four so you keep 2 on the 3rd wager. Should you win the 3rd bet, add two on the 4 on the table for a grand total of six on the fourth wager.

Should you lose on the first wager, you take a hit of 1. A win on the initial wager followed by a hit on the second causes a loss of two. Wins on the initial 2 with a defeat on the third gives you with a gain of 2. And success on the initial three with a defeat on the 4th means you balance the books. Winning at all 4 wagers gives you with 12, a gain of 10. This means you can not win on the second bet 5 instances for every successful run of 4 bets and still break even.
