Baccarat Policies
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards of a value less than 10 are said to be worth their printed value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they merely depict the two hands to be dealt).
2 hands of 2 cards will now be given to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for every hand is the sum of the two cards, but the very first digit is removed. For eg, a hand of seven … 5 produces a tally of two (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card might be given depending on the foll. rules:
- If the player or banker has a tally of 8 or 9, each gamblers stand.
- If the gambler has five or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used to figure if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The higher of the 2 scores will be the winner. Victorious wagers on the banker payout 19 to 20 (even money minus a five % commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so be sure to have funds left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie as a rule pay eight to 1 and occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a bad gamble as ties will happen less than one every 10 hands. Stay away from laying money on a tie. Even so odds are exceedingly better – nine to 1 vs. 8 to one)
When played properly, baccarat offers fairly good odds, away from the tie bet ofcourse.
Baccarat Tactics
As with all games, Baccarat has some common misunderstandings. One of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is never actually an indicator of future results. Staying abreast of past outcomes on a chart is for sure a complete waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most commonly used and possibly most successful technique is the one-three-2-six method. This process is employed to increase payout and reducing risk.
start by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you have 2 on the third bet. If you win the third wager, add 2 to the four on the table for a grand total of six on the 4th wager.
If you don’t win on the initial wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Winning all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
