Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards that are valued less than 10 are worth their printed number whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they purely appear as the two hands to be dealt).

2 hands of 2 cards will now be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for every hand shall be the grand total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For example, a hand of 7 as well as 5 will have a total of 2 (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card might be given depending on the following rules:

- If the bettor or banker has a total of 8 or nine, the two gamblers stand.

- If the gambler has five or less, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the player hits, a chart shall be used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the 2 scores will be the winner. Winning bets on the banker pay nineteen to 20 (even odds minus a 5% commission. Commission is tracked and cleared out when you leave the table so be sure to have $$$$$ remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie as a rule pays out at 8 to one and sometimes nine to one. (This is a bad bet as ties happen lower than 1 every ten hands. Definitely don’t try betting on a tie. Regardless odds are considerably better – nine to 1 vs. eight to one)

When done effectively, baccarat presents generally decent odds, apart from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some well-known false impressions. One of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is never actually an indicator of future results. Staying abreast of past conclusions on a chart is definitely a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most commonly used and almost certainly most successful technique is the one-three-2-6 technique. This tactic is employed to boost successes and cutting back risk.

start by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract four so you have two on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd bet, add two to the four on the table for a sum of six on the 4th wager.

If you lose on the first bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second causes a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. This means you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
