Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards below a value of 10 are said to be worth their printed value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they strictly depict the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards shall then be given out to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The total for every hand will be the total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is discarded. For example, a hand of seven … five produces a value of 2 (sevenplus5=12; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card can be given depending on the foll. regulations:

- If the gambler or banker has a score of eight or nine, both gamblers stand.

- If the player has 5 or less, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the player hits, a chart is used in order to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores is the winner. Successful stakes on the banker pay out 19 to twenty (even money minus a 5% commission. Commission is tracked and moved out when you leave the table so ensure that you have cash left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie usually pay 8 to 1 but occasionally 9 to one. (This is an awful wager as ties occur less than one every ten hands. Definitely don’t try putting money on a tie. Regardless odds are radically better – nine to one vs. eight to 1)

Played correctly, baccarat presents fairly good odds, away from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with many games, Baccarat has some common myths. One of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way a predictor of future happenings. Staying abreast of past outcomes on a chart is a complete waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most common and feasibly most successful method is the one-three-two-six scheme. This process is used to amplify profits and cutting back risk.

commence by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away four so you have 2 on the 3rd bet. If you win the third bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a value of 6 on the fourth bet.

If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second brings about a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Accomplishing a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. This means that you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
