Baccarat Procedures
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards which are valued less than ten are valued at face value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they only portray the 2 hands to be played).
Two hands of two cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for every hand shall be the sum of the two cards, but the first digit is discarded. For eg, a hand of 7 … five gives a total score of two (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card can be dealt depending on the following guidelines:
- If the bettor or banker has a total score of eight or nine, both gamblers stand.
- If the player has 5 or less, he hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the bettor hits, a chart shall be used to judge if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The larger of the two scores is the winner. Successful bets on the banker pay at 19 to twenty (even odds minus a 5% commission. Commission is tracked and paid out when you leave the table so make sure that you have dollars still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie generally pay eight to 1 but on occasion nine to one. (This is a terrible gamble as ties will happen lower than one every 10 hands. Run away from placing bets on a tie. Even so odds are somewhat better – 9 to 1 vs. eight to 1)
Played smartly, baccarat offers pretty good odds, away from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Strategy
As with just about every games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. One of which is quite similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an indicator of future happenings. Tracking of previous conclusions on a chart is a complete waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most popular and probably most successful technique is the one-3-2-6 technique. This plan is used to amplify payouts and lowering risk.
start by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away four so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the four on the table for a total of 6 on the 4th gamble.
If you don’t win on the first wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. This means that you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
