Baccarat Procedures
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards below a value of 10 are said to be at face value meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they strictly symbolize the two hands to be dealt).
Two hands of 2 cards shall then be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for any hand will be the sum of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For example, a hand of seven and 5 results in a tally of two (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).
A third card could be dealt depending on the following protocols:
- If the gambler or banker has a total score of eight or 9, both bettors stand.
- If the bettor has five or lower, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used to decide if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The bigger of the two scores wins. Successful bets on the banker pay out nineteen to 20 (even money minus a five percent commission. Commission is tracked and moved out when you leave the table so ensure that you have cash left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie typically pay 8 to one and occasionally 9 to 1. (This is not a good bet as ties will happen lower than one every 10 hands. be wary of wagering on a tie. However odds are somewhat better – 9 to 1 versus 8 to one)
Played properly, baccarat presents relatively decent odds, apart from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Strategy
As with every games, Baccarat has some common myths. One of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future happenings. Keeping track of prior results on a chart is definitely a waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most accepted and feasibly most successful tactic is the 1-3-two-6 concept. This process is deployed to build up successes and limiting risk.
start by betting one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove 4 so you have two on the third bet. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the four on the table for a value of six on the fourth bet.
If you don’t win on the initial wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Winning all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Thus that you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
