Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards valued less than ten are valued at face value and on the other hand 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they just symbolize the two hands to be played).

2 hands of 2 cards shall then be given to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for every hand will be the grand total of the two cards, but the initial digit is removed. For example, a hand of seven as well as 5 will have a value of two (7plus5=12; drop the ‘one’).

A third card might be given out depending on the foll. protocols:

- If the player or banker has a total of 8 or nine, each bettors stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or lower, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the bettor hits, a chart shall be used to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the 2 scores is the winner. Successful wagers on the banker pay 19 to twenty (even odds minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is kept track of and moved out when you leave the table so ensure that you have $$$$$ left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie commonly pay eight to one and sometimes 9 to 1. (This is a bad wager as ties will happen lower than one every 10 hands. Stay away from betting on a tie. Even so odds are decidedly better – 9 to one versus eight to 1)

When played accurately, baccarat offers pretty decent odds, apart from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. One of which is close to a roulette misconception. The past is surely not a predictor of future happenings. Keeping track of previous conclusions on a chart is a waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and probably most successful technique is the 1-3-two-six concept. This scheme is employed to maximize successes and minimizing risk.

start by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd gamble. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth gamble.

If you don’t win on the first wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second causes a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Accomplishing a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. In other words that you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
