Baccarat Banque Principles

Punto banco is enjoyed with eight decks of cards in a dealer’s shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are valued at face value and with Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards are then given to the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The value for each hand is the sum total of the cards, however the 1st digit is ignored. e.g., a hand of 5 and 6 has a score of 1 (five plus 6 equals eleven; ditch the first ‘one’).

A 3rd card could be given out using the following rules:

- If the gambler or house gets a total of eight or nine, the two players stay.

- If the player has less than five, she hits. Players otherwise stand.

- If the gambler stands, the bank hits on 5 or lower. If the player hits, a table is used to figure out if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The better of the 2 totals wins. Winning bets on the house payout nineteen to Twenty (equal money less a 5% rake. The Rake is recorded and cleared out when you depart the game so be sure to still have money left over before you leave). Winning wagers on the player pays one to one. Winning wagers for a tie usually pays 8 to 1 but on occasion nine to one. (This is a poor bet as a tie occurs lower than 1 in every 10 rounds. Be cautious of wagering on a tie. However odds are astonishingly better for 9:1 versus eight to one)

Played properly punto banco gives relatively good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Method

As with all games punto banco has quite a few familiar misconceptions. One of which is the same as a myth in roulette. The past isn’t an indicator of future actions. Keeping score of past outcomes at a table is a poor use of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our paper desires.

The most familiar and almost certainly the most successful plan is the 1-3-2-6 technique. This method is used to build up earnings and limit losses.

Begin by placing one chip. If you succeed, add another to the two on the game table for a grand total of three dollars on the second bet. Should you win you will hold 6 on the game table, subtract 4 so you have 2 on the third bet. If you win the third round, put down 2 on the 4 on the table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth round.

Should you lose on the 1st bet, you take a loss of 1. A profit on the 1st bet followed by a hit on the second causes a loss of 2. Wins on the initial two with a loss on the 3rd provides you with a profit of 2. And wins on the 1st 3 with a defeat on the 4th means you balance the books. Winning at all 4 wagers leaves you with twelve, a take of 10. This means you will be able to not win on the 2nd round 5 instances for every favorable run of 4 wagers and still balance the books.
