Baccarat Rules
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards with less than a value of 10 are said to be at their printed value and on the other hand 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they only portray the two hands to be dealt).
2 hands of two cards shall then be given to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for any hand is the total of the two cards, but the first digit is removed. For eg, a hand of 7 … five gives a score of two (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).
A third card might be given depending on the foll. guidelines:
- If the gambler or banker has a total of eight or 9, then both bettors stand.
- If the player has five or less, he hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart is used to decide if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The larger of the 2 scores will be the winner. Successful bets on the banker pay 19 to 20 (even odds minus a 5% commission. Commission is kept track of and paid out when you leave the table so make sure to have dollars left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie commonly pay eight to 1 but occasionally nine to 1. (This is a bad gamble as ties happen less than one every ten hands. Run away from putting money on a tie. However odds are remarkably better – nine to one versus eight to one)
Played correctly, baccarat provides pretty decent odds, apart from the tie wager ofcourse.
Baccarat Tactics
As with most games, Baccarat has some established myths. 1 of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is not an actual indicator of future happenings. Tracking of prior outcomes on a chart is undoubtedly a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most established and almost certainly most successful technique is the 1-3-two-6 concept. This tactic is deployed to pump up wins and reducing risk.
commence by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd gamble. If you win the third bet, add two to the 4 on the table for a total of 6 on the 4th wager.
If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the second creates a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Winning at all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Thus you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
