Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards with less than a value of ten are give a value of their printed value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they simply depict the two hands to be dealt).
2 hands of 2 cards shall then be given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand will be the grand total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is removed. For eg, a hand of seven and 5 has a total score of two (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).
A third card could be given out depending on the foll. practices:
- If the bettor or banker has a value of eight or 9, the two players stand.
- If the player has 5 or lower, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the bettor hits, a chart shall be used to see if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The higher of the two scores will be the winner. Winning wagers on the banker pay 19 to twenty (even money less a 5% commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure you have $$$$$ remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie as a rule pay 8 to 1 but sometimes 9 to 1. (This is a bad bet as ties happen less than 1 every 10 hands. abstain from wagering on a tie. However odds are richly better – 9 to 1 vs. 8 to 1)
When played correctly, baccarat provides generally decent odds, away from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Strategy
As with many games, Baccarat has some common misunderstandings. 1 of which is similar to a roulette myth. The past is not a predictor of future actions. Staying abreast of previous results on a chart is simply a complete waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most popular and probably most successful strategy is the 1-three-two-six concept. This tactic is employed to accentuate earnings and limiting risk.
Begin by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away 4 so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd bet, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum of six on the fourth gamble.
If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the second causes a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Therefore that you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
