Baccarat Policies
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards of a value less than 10 are valued at their printed number whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they simply represent the 2 hands to be given out).
Two hands of two cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for any hand shall be the sum total of the two cards, but the first digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of 7 … five results in a total score of two (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).
A third card may be played depending on the foll. rules:
- If the bettor or banker has a score of 8 or 9, the two bettors stand.
- If the bettor has five or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used in order to figure if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The bigger of the 2 scores wins. Winning stakes on the banker payout 19 to twenty (even money minus a five % commission. Commission is followed closely and paid out when you leave the table so ensure you have money left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie usually pays out at eight to 1 and occasionally nine to 1. (This is a bad wager as ties will occur less than 1 every ten hands. Avoid betting on a tie. Still, odds are radically better – 9 to one versus 8 to 1)
Played properly, baccarat offers relatively good odds, aside from the tie bet ofcourse.
Baccarat Strategy
As with most games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. 1 of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is surely not an indicator of future results. Keeping track of historic results on a chart is for sure a complete waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most popular and probably most successful tactic is the 1-3-2-6 concept. This process is used to increase payouts and reducing risk.
start by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum total of 6 on the 4th wager.
If you don’t win on the first wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the second creates a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
