Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat chemin de fer is played with 8 decks of cards in a dealer’s shoe. Cards under 10 are worth their printed number and with Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is 1. Bets are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t really people; they simply represent the 2 hands that are dealt).

Two cards are given to both the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand is the sum of the 2 cards, although the 1st digit is ignored. e.g., a hand of five and six has a value of one (5 plus six equals 11; drop the initial ‘one’).

A third card could be given out using the rules below:

- If the player or banker gets a score of eight or nine, the two players stay.

- If the gambler has 5 or less, she takes a card. Players otherwise stand.

- If the player stands, the house hits on five or lower. If the player hits, a chart is used to see if the house stands or takes a card.

Baccarat Banque Odds

The larger of the 2 totals wins. Winning wagers on the bank pay out 19 to 20 (even money less a 5% rake. Commission are tracked and cleared out once you leave the table so make sure you have funds around just before you head out). Winning bets on the gambler pays 1:1. Winning wagers for tie typically pays out at 8 to 1 but sometimes 9:1. (This is a poor wager as a tie occurs less than one in every 10 rounds. Be wary of putting money on a tie. However odds are substantially greater for 9 to 1 versus 8 to 1)

Bet on correctly baccarat banque gives generally good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Chemin de Fer Strategy

As with all games Baccarat has some established false impressions. One of which is the same as a false impression in roulette. The past is not a prophecy of future events. Recording previous outcomes at a table is a poor use of paper and an insult to the tree that was cut down for our stationary desires.

The most accepted and almost certainly the most accomplished method is the one, three, two, six technique. This tactic is used to maximize profits and minimizing risk.

Start by placing one dollar. If you succeed, add another to the 2 on the table for a sum of 3 dollars on the second bet. Should you win you will hold 6 on the game table, take away 4 so you are left with two on the third round. If you win the third round, add two on the four on the game table for a total of six on the fourth round.

Should you do not win on the 1st wager, you take a loss of 1. A profit on the first round followed by a hit on the 2nd brings about a hit of two. Wins on the first 2 with a hit on the 3rd provides you with a gain of two. And wins on the first 3 with a defeat on the fourth means you balance the books. Winning at all 4 bets gives you with 12, a profit of ten. This means you are able to squander the second wager 5 times for each favorable run of four wagers and still break even.
