Punto Banco Policies

Baccarat chemin de fer is enjoyed with 8 decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards under 10 are valued at their printed number and with Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t really people; they just represent the 2 hands that are dealt).

Two cards are given to both the ‘bank’ and ‘gambler’. The value for each hand is the total of the cards, although the beginning number is dropped. For example, a hand of 5 and six has a total of 1 (5 plus 6 = 11; ditch the 1st ‘one’).

A 3rd card will be given out depending on the rules below:

- If the player or bank has a score of 8 or 9, the two players stay.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he hits. Players stays otherwise.

- If the gambler stays, the banker hits on five or lower. If the player takes a card, a guide is employed to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Chemin de Fer Odds

The larger of the 2 hands wins. Winning bets on the banker payout nineteen to Twenty (equal cash less a five percent rake. Commission are recorded and paid off once you depart the table so be sure to have cash around before you head out). Winning wagers on the gambler pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for a tie frequently pays eight to one but occasionally nine to one. (This is a poor wager as a tie occurs less than 1 in every 10 rounds. Be cautious of gambling on a tie. Although odds are substantially better for 9:1 versus 8:1)

Bet on properly baccarat offers fairly good odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games Baccarat has quite a few familiar false impressions. One of which is similar to a false impression in roulette. The past isn’t a fore-teller of events about to happen. Keeping score of previous outcomes on a chart is a waste of paper and a snub to the tree that surrendered its life for our paper desires.

The most established and possibly the most accomplished strategy is the one-three-two-six plan. This plan is deployed to pump up profits and limit risk.

Begin by placing 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a sum of three dollars on the second bet. If you win you will retain six on the game table, pull off four so you are left with two on the 3rd bet. If you win the third bet, deposit 2 on the 4 on the game table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you don’t win on the first bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by a hit on the 2nd causes a hit of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third provides you with a profit of two. And success on the initial 3 with a loss on the fourth means you balance the books. Winning at all four bets gives you with 12, a gain of ten. This means you are able to lose the 2nd wager 5 times for every successful run of four wagers and in the end, break even.
