Punto Banco Regulations
Baccarat banque is wagered on with 8 decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards valued less than ten are valued at their printed number and with Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these are not really people; they simply represent the two hands to be dealt).
Two cards are given to both the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The value for each hand is the sum of the cards, although the first number is dropped. e.g., a hand of 5 and 6 has a total of one (five plus 6 equals 11; drop the first ‘one’).
A additional card may be given out using the following rules:
- If the gambler or house gets a value of 8 or nine, both players hold.
- If the player has five or lower, she takes a card. Players holds otherwise.
- If the gambler holds, the house takes a card on a value lower than five. If the gambler takes a card, a table is used to determine if the house holds or takes a card.
Baccarat Banque Odds
The larger of the two hands wins. Winning wagers on the bank payout 19 to 20 (equal cash minus a 5 percent commission. Commission are recorded and cleared out when you quit the table so be sure to still have funds left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pays out at 1 to 1. Winning wagers for a tie normally pays out at 8 to 1 but sometimes nine to one. (This is a bad bet as a tie occurs lower than 1 in every ten hands. Avoid putting money on a tie. Although odds are astonishingly better for 9 to 1 versus 8:1)
Bet on properly baccarat offers fairly decent odds, aside from the tie bet of course.
Punto Banco Course of Action
As with all games Baccarat has a few accepted false impressions. One of which is similar to a misconception in roulette. The past isn’t a harbinger of future actions. Tracking previous results on a page of paper is a poor use of paper and a snub to the tree that surrendered its life for our paper needs.
The most accepted and probably the most successful strategy is the one, three, two, six method. This tactic is deployed to build up earnings and limit risk.
Begin by placing 1 unit. If you succeed, add another to the two on the table for a total of 3 chips on the second bet. Should you win you will have 6 on the game table, subtract 4 so you are left with two on the 3rd bet. Should you succeed on the third wager, put down two on the four on the game table for a grand total of 6 on the 4th bet.
Should you lose on the 1st round, you take a loss of one. A win on the first wager followed by a loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of 2. Success on the first two with a loss on the 3rd provides you with a gain of 2. And success on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th means you are even. Succeeding at all 4 rounds gives you with twelve, a take of 10. This means you can lose the second round 5 times for each favorable streak of 4 wagers and still break even.
