Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is bet on with 8 decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards below ten are counted at face value and with 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just represent the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two cards are dealt to both the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand is the total of the 2 cards, although the first number is dropped. e.g., a hand of 5 and six has a total of 1 (5 plus 6 equals eleven; dump the first ‘1′).

A additional card may be given using the rules below:

- If the player or house achieves a score of 8 or 9, both players stay.

- If the player has 5 or less, he takes a card. Players stands otherwise.

- If the gambler stays, the banker hits on 5 or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart is used to decide if the banker stays or takes a card.

Baccarat Banque Odds

The better of the 2 totals wins. Winning wagers on the house pay out nineteen to Twenty (even money minus a 5 percent commission. The Rake is tracked and paid off once you depart the table so be sure to have cash left over just before you quit). Winning wagers on the player pays out at 1 to 1. Winning wagers for tie usually pays 8:1 but on occasion 9:1. (This is a poor wager as ties occur lower than 1 in every 10 hands. Be cautious of wagering on a tie. Although odds are substantially greater for 9:1 vs. 8:1)

Bet on properly baccarat banque gives fairly good odds, apart from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Method

As with all games punto banco has quite a few common false impressions. One of which is close to a false impression in roulette. The past is not a fore-teller of events yet to happen. Keeping track of past outcomes at a table is a waste of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our stationary needs.

The most familiar and definitely the most accomplished strategy is the 1-3-2-6 method. This tactic is used to maximize profits and limit risk.

Begin by placing one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the game table for a grand total of three dollars on the second bet. If you succeed you will have 6 on the table, pull off 4 so you are left with two on the third bet. If you come away with a win on the third wager, add 2 to the four on the table for a total of six on the fourth round.

If you don’t win on the first wager, you take a hit of one. A profit on the initial bet followed by a hit on the second creates a loss of two. Success on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you with a profit of 2. And success on the initial 3 with a defeat on the fourth means you balance the books. Winning at all four rounds leaves you with twelve, a gain of 10. This means you are able to not win on the 2nd wager 5 instances for each favorable streak of four bets and in the end, are even.
