Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards with less than a value of ten are said to be worth their printed value and on the other hand 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they only appear as the 2 hands to be given out).
Two hands of 2 cards are then played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for any hand will be the total of the two cards, but the first digit is removed. For e.g., a hand of 7 … five has a total of two (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card can be dealt depending on the following codes:
- If the player or banker has a value of eight or nine, then both players stand.
- If the bettor has five or lower, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used to judge if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The bigger of the two scores is the winner. Successful wagers on the banker pay at nineteen to twenty (even money less a 5% commission. Commission is followed closely and paid out when you leave the table so be sure to have money remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie commonly pays out at 8 to one and occasionally 9 to one. (This is not a good gamble as ties occur less than 1 every ten hands. Run away from placing bets on a tie. Nevertheless odds are positively better – nine to one versus 8 to 1)
Played accurately, baccarat presents relatively decent odds, aside from the tie wager obviously.
Baccarat Strategy
As with all games, Baccarat has some common myths. One of which is similar to a roulette myth. The past is not an indicator of future actions. Tracking of past outcomes on a chart is a waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most accepted and almost certainly most successful tactic is the 1-3-2-6 concept. This tactic is employed to increase winnings and limiting risk.
Begin by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away 4 so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the four on the table for a value of 6 on the fourth wager.
If you lose on the initial wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Thus you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
